Diana Adams, Esq KEYNOTE Speaker
Diana is a legal activist for sexual civil rights. Ms Adams started her own Brooklyn, NY based family law and civil rights law practice focusing on polyamory, kink, and alternative lifestyle aware child custody/visitation and divorce litigation, as well as domestic violence victim advocacy. After studying at Yale and Cornell Law School specializing in feminist legal theory and progressive policy, she practiced welfare law reform for New York City and worked in legal services for women and families in poverty before starting her innovative law practice. Diana speaks and writes frequently on polyamory, feminism, sexuality, and family law , and is actively involved in the New York City polyamory community and her own polyfamily. Darrel and Nancy Casey
Nancy Casey is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). Darrell is a former teacher and Values Realization Trainer. Both are Tantra Instructors trained by world famous teacher Margot Anand and licensed by the Sky Dancing Tantra Institute. We offer coaching in relationships, Tantra, polyamory and other alternative Lifestyles. Nancy and Darrell have, in addition, been trained by other Nationally known teachers including Dr. Virginia Satire, Dr. Sidney Simon, and Dr. Deborah Anapole. Jesus Garcia
Director of IT Loving More Non-Profit, Jesus is a native of the San Francisco Bay area who began exploring alternatives to monogamy in 2004. In 2005 he attended his first Loving More Retreat. In September 2006 he was invited to join Loving More’s Board of Directors. He has worked at raising money for many worthy causes and has been a great help as Loving More makes it’s transition to non-profit. He has worked in the computer information technology field since 1995. In college he majored in Biology and Psychology with an emphasis on bio-psychology.
Ken Haslam
Ken is a retired anesthesiologist Polyamory activist well into the Medicare years and sliding all too rapidly into senility. As a mature senior he is experiencing sexual changes in his formerly awesome (his description, not that of his partners) performance no one told him about and didn't expect. He will share his personal experiences of what it is like to move into late maturity and how things (at least for him) change "down there". As a hard core Polyamorist he has no secrets -- you can ask him anything except personal finances.
Suzann Robins, MA, CHT
Suzann is an educator, t’ai chi and yoga practicioner, and transpersonal hypnotherapist. She has an eclectic background including an interest in the Edgar Cayce materials and other alternative medical systems, as well as Native American and Eastern spiritual practices.
Her writings have been featured in Sex, Love and Marriage in the 21st Century, (1995) ed Robert T. Francoeur, and Deborah Anapol’s Love without Limits, The Quest for Sustainable Intimate Relationships (1993). She contributed a chapter for the Journal of Bisexuality, also published as Plural Loves: Designs for Bi and Poly Living, ed. Serena Anderlini-D’Onofrio (2004) and a text on GLBTIQCulture in Rehabilitation, ed. Royeen and Crabtree (2006). Suzann Robins is a lively and entertaining teacher and workshop leader addressing an “unspeakable” yet popular topic.
James Powers
James has been a meditation practitioner for the past 17 years with 3 years of residency training at DaiBosatsu Zen Monastery. James received his Yoga Teacher’s Certification from the Vivekanada Ashram in India and has studied Pranic Healing in Manilla, Philippines and completed the 3.5 year Master’s Degree program in acupuncture and Chinese herbology. He has also been certified in the Thai form of acupressure at the Thai Traditional Hospital in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Amira Rain
Amira is an Educator and Spiritual Counselor who has been counseling and teaching others for over 30 years. Most recently she has been in Healthcare and Sex Education and has done extensive research and education involving Safer Sex, Prophylactics and Sexually Transmitted Diseases. She is also involved in Parenting and Couples education. Amira came from a very traditional background and has been successfully poly for over 10 years and in has experience in several ways of poly relating. Currently she is also the Office Manager for Loving More and loves helping Loving More succeed. She is educated both in Education, Human Services, Nursing and Business
Robyn Trask
Robyn is the Managing Director and Editor, Loving More® Magazine and Non-Profit. Through her work with Loving More she has worked to increase the public’s awareness of polyamory as a viable alternative to current social norms of strict monogamy. Robyn was the key note for the 2007 Florida Poly Retreat, a featured speaker at the 2008 Colorado Sex Show, the 2005 and 2006 Poly Living Conference, The Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality’s 2006 West Conference, and is a regular guest lecturer at the University of Colorado Boulder. Robyn has done over 40 interviews with the news media including articles in newspapers across the country, National Radio, and National Television. Robyn has been counseling, teaching and Facilitating Sacred sex workshops since 1998 and Polyamory support groups and workshops since 1999.
Anita Wagner
Anita is a polyamory advocate, writer, spokesperson and educator. She serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Loving More®, is co-founder and past board member of Chesapeake Polyamory Network and is co-founder and former member of the Board of Directors of the Institute for 21st Century Relationships/the Foundation of the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom. She currently serves as CPN’s representative to the NCSF Coalition Council. She is a founding member of the Greater Washington Area chapter of Unitarian Universalists for Polyamory Awareness. Anita has appeared on television in interviews on polyamory in Washington, DC and Baltimore. She has presented educational programs on polyamory at Dark Odyssey, Black Rose, Building Bridges, Free Spirit Beltane Gathering, Florida Poly Retreat and the Loving More® East Coast conferences. She was keynote speaker on polyamory and the media at Florida Poly Retreat 2008. She authored articles on polyamory and bisexuality. Jens Wennberg
Jens is suppose to be a retired Physician Assistant, but his wife / partner keeps dragging him off to Africa to teach about HIV / AIDS.
